Terms of Sale for Digital Products, Courses, and Memberships

These Terms of Sale apply to purchases of digital courses, memberships, downloads, online resources, and other digital products offered by Connected Families. By purchasing a digital product, creating an account, or accessing purchased content, you agree to these Terms of Sale.

These Terms of Sale are intended to clarify what is included with a purchase, how long access lasts, how digital products may change over time, and how course access differs from membership access.

1. Digital Content License

When you purchase a digital course, membership, download, or other digital product, you are purchasing a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access the content for your personal, household, ministry, or internal educational use, as applicable to the product purchased.

You are not purchasing ownership of the course content, videos, downloads, curriculum, trademarks, platform, or other intellectual property.

Unless expressly authorized in writing, you may not copy, share, distribute, resell, publicly display, publish, upload, reproduce, modify, or create derivative works from our digital content. You may not share your login credentials or allow others to access purchased content through your account without permission.

2. Access Period

The access period for a course, membership, or digital product will be stated on the product page, checkout page, or order confirmation.

Unless expressly stated otherwise at checkout, purchase of an individual digital course provides access for the access period listed at checkout.

Purchase of an annual membership, including CF Community, provides access only while the membership is active and in good standing.

Access to a digital product does not include lifetime access unless lifetime access is expressly stated on the product page and checkout page.

3. No Lifetime Access Unless Expressly Stated

Connected Families does not offer lifetime access to courses, memberships, communities, resources, live events, or other digital products unless lifetime access is expressly included in the specific offer at the time of purchase.

If a product is expressly sold with “lifetime access,” “lifetime” means the lifetime of that specific digital product offering as hosted and supported by Connected Families. It does not mean the lifetime of the purchaser, the purchaser’s account, a third-party platform, or any particular technology provider.

Connected Families may retire, replace, migrate, reorganize, or discontinue platforms, course versions, formats, features, or product offerings. When reasonably possible, we may provide access to substantially similar core course content, but we do not guarantee access to any particular platform, format, feature, prior version, or delivery method.

4. Platform Changes and Account Requirements

We may change the platform, technology provider, hosting service, course format, login process, or delivery method for digital content at any time.

Access to purchased content may require creating an account on a new platform, using a current email address, accepting updated platform terms, or following updated access instructions.

We are not responsible for maintaining access through any particular third-party platform after that platform is retired, discontinued, replaced, or no longer supported.

5. Course Updates, Revisions, and Retirement

We may update, revise, reorganize, replace, remove, or discontinue portions of our digital content from time to time.

A purchase does not guarantee access to every prior version of a course, every future version of a course, future updates, newly added materials, live events, coaching, community access, or other benefits unless expressly included in the product description at checkout.

6. Individual Courses vs. Memberships

Purchase of an individual course provides access only to that course and the materials expressly included with that course at checkout.

Individual course purchases do not include access to CF Community, member-only resources, live coaching, community features, newly added courses, future products, or subscription-only benefits unless expressly stated at checkout.

CF Community and other memberships are separate subscription products. Access to membership content and benefits continues only while the membership is active.

7. Subscriptions and Renewals

If you purchase a subscription or membership, the price, billing frequency, renewal terms, and cancellation instructions will be disclosed at checkout.

Unless otherwise stated at checkout, subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until cancelled.

You may cancel future renewals by [insert cancellation method]. Cancelling a subscription prevents future renewal charges but does not automatically provide a refund for the current subscription period unless required by law or expressly stated in a specific offer.

8. Refund Policy

Because digital products are made available shortly after purchase, digital course, membership, and downloadable product purchases are non-refundable except where required by law or where a specific written offer, promotion, or guarantee states otherwise.

Connected Families may, in its discretion, offer refunds, credits, access extensions, or other accommodations in individual cases. Providing an accommodation in one situation does not require us to provide the same accommodation in another situation.

9. Communications About Purchased Products

By purchasing a course, membership, or digital product, you agree that we may send you transactional and course-related communications, including access instructions, account notices, course reminders, billing notices, product updates, and customer support messages.

Marketing communications are optional and may be unsubscribed from as described in our Privacy Policy or in the communication itself.

10. Optional SMS Consent

By checking the optional SMS consent box and providing your mobile number, you agree to receive recurring automated marketing and informational text messages from Connected Families at the number provided. These messages may include course updates, educational content, special offers, new course announcements, and occasional donation invitations.

Consent to marketing text messages is not required to purchase.

Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe and HELP for help.

We may also send transactional messages related to your purchase, account, access, billing, or customer support, where permitted by law.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Sale from time to time.

The terms in effect at the time of your purchase will generally apply to that purchase, except that updated terms may apply to ongoing use of our website, platform, accounts, memberships, subscriptions, and services to the extent permitted by law.

Checkout Acknowledgment Language

For individual course purchases, we recommend including a required checkbox at checkout:

“I understand that I am purchasing access to [Course Name] for [access period]. This purchase does not include lifetime access, CF Community membership, live coaching, future courses, newly added resources, or other subscription benefits unless expressly stated. I agree to the Terms of Sale and Privacy Policy.”

For CF Community or other annual memberships, we recommend including a required checkbox at checkout:

“I understand that CF Community is an annual subscription. Access to included courses, community features, resources, and membership benefits continues only while my subscription is active. I agree to the Terms of Sale and Privacy Policy.”

If any offer uses “lifetime access” language, we recommend including a required acknowledgment at checkout:

“I understand that ‘lifetime access’ means access for the lifetime of this specific digital product offering as hosted and supported by Connected Families. It does not mean access for my lifetime, lifetime access to any membership, or access to all future versions, platforms, features, or products.”

Legacy Course Access Policy

This Legacy Course Access Policy applies to customers who previously purchased an individual course under an earlier access model, including purchases that may have included ongoing or lifetime access language.

Connected Families has moved its courses to a new learning platform. The previous course platform is no longer available. We want to provide a clear and fair path for customers who previously purchased courses before this transition.

Legacy Access to Original Course

Customers who can reasonably verify that they purchased an individual course may receive access to that course, or substantially similar core course content, on our current platform when available.

Legacy access applies only to the specific course originally purchased. It does not include lifetime access to CF Community, live coaching, community features, newly added courses, future products, member-only resources, or other annual membership benefits.

Because our current platform may be structured around annual access periods, we may need to renew or restore legacy access manually from time to time. If that happens, customers may contact us for assistance restoring access to their previously purchased course.

Exchange Option: One Year of CF Community

As an alternative to legacy access to the original course only, customers may choose to exchange their legacy course access for one complimentary year of CF Community.

CF Community is a new annual membership product that may include the original course along with additional courses, resources, community features, and other membership benefits.

By choosing this exchange option, the customer is selecting one year of full CF Community access in place of ongoing legacy access to the original course.

After the complimentary year ends, continued access to CF Community is available through the annual membership.

Customers should affirmatively choose this option in writing so there is a clear record of their preference.
